Two days Webinar Workshop on Adventure Sports jointly organized by the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science, Manipur University, Fit India Campaign Committee and Fit India Club Manipur University, Canchipur in collaboration with Indian Mountaineering Foundation, North East Zone which begins from July 7 at Manipur University, Canchipur concluded today.
Around 200 participants attended in this Webinar Workshop from entire country. The main ideas of Two days Webinar Workshop on Adventure Sports is to provide a carefully planned stimulating environment which will help each individual and excellent foundation for creative learning.
Jarnail Singh, Vice Chancellor, Manipur University, and chief guest of the inaugural function expressed with his happiness that an adventure is an exciting experience that is typically some potential for physical danger and participating in extreme sports.
Dr. L. Santosh Singh, Coordinator, Adventure Sports, he addressing as key note address for this 2 day State Level Webinar Workshop on Adventure Sports. During this Workshop, three eminent speakers namely Dr. K. Romeo Meetei, State Awardee, Secy. IMF NE Zone, presented the topics on “Introduction of adventure sports and its importance”, The session was conducted by Dr . M. Nodiyachand Singh as moderator.
Dr. L. Surjit Singh, former president of MMTA, Imphal presented the topic on “Prospects of adventure sports and adventure tourism in Manipur” and Dr. L. Thambal Singh, as moderator. Smt. G. Anita Devi, Padmashree Awardee Chairperson, IMF NE Zone presented topic on “My journey to Mt. Everest” and Dr. M. Chourjit Singh as moderator.
