Under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) the Cashunut Development Officer, Jiribam distributed water pump sets to 18 beneficiaries today.
The equipment was distributed at a micro Irrigation equipment and awareness training programme in the presence of Deputy Commissioner, Jiribam W. Malemnganba Chenglei (IAS) as Chief Guest where Additional Director Sericulture and Sub- Divisional Agriculture Officer also attended the programme held at Cashewnut Development Office, Jiribam.
Speaking at the programme, the Deputy Commissioner, Jiribam W. Malemnganba Chenglei said the water pump sets were distributed to the farmers of Jiribam with an aim to produce abundant agricultural products from the District in every season.
He also said that under the one District one products flagship programme let us try to produce plentiful coconut from Jiribam District.
