Vice President of MUSU faces threat

A day after Manipur University Students’ Union (MUSU) released a press statement demanding to take up stringent action against the Head of Manipuri Department of the University for declaring the result of Pre PhD Entrance Test repeatedly, the HOD allegedly threatened Vice-President of Manipur University Students’ Union (MUSU).
This was disclosed today by Sarangthem David, president of MUSU in a press meet held at the office of MUSU. He said that A Babina, vice-president of MUSU had been threatened over the phone. He said that the HOD of Manipuri Department called her up and threatened her of dire consequences if MUSU withdraw their stand.
David further said that the union strongly condemned the incident. MUSU will not withdraw their demands until and unless befitting action is taken against the HOD of Manipuri Department for her misdeeds. The Students’ Union has submitted a charter of demands to the Vice-Chancellor of Manipur University following the incident.
