Vehicles vandalised during 96 hours bandh at Imphal- Jiri road

Various vehicles were reportedly vandalised at Noney area in Tamenglong district by bandh supporters yesterday evening during the 96 hour Chakka Bandh called by Joint Forum for Transport Welfare Association of Tamenglong. Most of the vehicle were passenger vehicles and were heading towards Imphal from Jiribam.
The bandh is being called against the government inaction to repaired the 39.5 Km long Tamenglong Khongsai Road.
The bandh began from midnight of 21 September.
Because of the bandh various goods ferrying trucks are being stranded at Jiribam  and Tamenglong district head quarter.
