VDF Welfare Association provides Rs. 3 lakh death benefit to bereaved family

The VDF Welfare Association, Thoubal District, has extended financial assistance of Rs.3 lakh to the family of late VDF No. 853 Leishangthem Bobo Singh of Leishangthem Khong Manung, who was posted at Chingkham Outpost in Thoubal District.

Leishangthem Bobo Singh died on August 21, 2026, following an illness.

The death benefit was handed over to his widow, Leishangthem (O) Gitarani Devi, at the District Police Headquarters, Thoubal, under the supervision of the Superintendent of Police, Thoubal.

The assistance was presented by H. Debendra Singh, MPS, Additional Superintendent of Police (Operations), Thoubal, in the presence of Y. Sunanta Singh, MPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police; Y. Shankerdash Mangang, RO; S. Shoba Singh, cashier; and members of the Executive Committee of the VDF Welfare Association, Thoubal District.

The association said the Rs.3 lakh assistance was disbursed from the VDF Welfare Fund, Thoubal District, as part of its commitment to supporting the families of VDF personnel during times of distress.
