Imphal, Aug 4: Engagement of Village Defence force (VDF) to various police stations of the states have been extended for another year starting from April 1, 2016 till March 31, 2015.
The matter has been minutely discussed during state cabinet meeting today and after deliberation on the need for man powers at various Police stations due to lack of proper man powers at the respective police station, the cabinet approve to continue engagement of VDF for another year.
