A statement released by L. Rolin @ Thoupangba Meitei, the Information and Publicity wing of the armed rebel group UPRFM (United People’s Revolutionary Front of Manipur), announced the commemoration of its 6th Raising Day. The event was observed across various levels of the organization, including its General Headquarters, Divisional, Sectoral, and Tactical Mobile Units, with the participation of cadres from different affiliated organizations.
The focal point of the celebration was held at the organization’s General Headquarters. The ceremony commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the party’s flag, an act carried out by T. Budhi, known as Tamnganba, the Chairman of the rebel group. Attendees included cadres from the outfit, under the leadership of S. Nganba, the Commanding Officer of the Headquarters Battalion. Following the flag hoisting, Chairman Tamnganba conveyed the message from the Central Committee of the Organization, elucidating the party’s stance on the issues concerning Manipur.
