UPRFM Boycott PM Narendra Modi’s visit to Imphal

United People’s Revolutionary Front of Manipur (UPRFM)  also boycotted Prime Minister Narendra Modi visit at Imphal on April 7. A statement signed by the L.Rolin@Thoupangba (Info. & Publicity Secretary of the outfit called total shutdown for 12 hours  April 7 morning 6 am to evening 6pm.
The statement added that India forcibly occupied  the Manipur and people were suppressed under India’s regime. India’s Prime Minister Strategy to erase the indigenous people of Manipur and introduce  Citizenship Amendment Bill-2016 is to wipe out the people of the entire North eastern part.
“Today, we lose our freedom and came under India’s regime”, the statement said.
Talking about 18 November 1950, the statement said that it was during this time the Chief Commissioner Mr. Himmat Singh withdraw Manipur permit system inviting outsiders to come freely. With difference in identity, culture, tradition and history of more than 2000 years were split  and mixed. In 1952, Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru gifted our Kabaw Valley to Burma(Myanmar) and a  policy of divide and rule was utilise between hills and plains. An act called Armed Forces Special Power Act(AFSPA) which was not accepted by the people was charge to the people of Manipur with other black law. Brutal killing, torture were done to the people. Arm forces camp were built inside the education zone University and military exercise were occurred in this zone.
India’s Prime Minister often came to our land with fake promises and tamping the people of Manipur by jokes like Sport University project.
