United NGOs Mission Manipur (UNMM) today observed International Women’s Day 2015 with the theme ‘Let’s make it happen, repeal AFSPA – A symbol of Oppression & Injustice’ at Yumjao Lairenbi Community Hall, Keishampat, Imphal.
Speaking on the occasion, Sobita Mangsatabam, Secretary, WAD said that according to a resolution taken twenty years back women should be free from violence and give proper education. But the state has not taken up anything to safeguard the women and children of the state and recently women died in blasts.
