UNLF led by Koireng condoles demise of filmmaker Oken Amakcham

The United National Liberation Front (UNLF), led by Koireng, has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of noted Manipuri theatre and film actor, filmmaker, director and music composer Oken Amakcham.

In a condolence message issued by its Secretary of Publicity, M. Shak-Hen, the outfit described Oken Amakcham as a prominent figure who made significant contributions to Manipur’s arts and culture. It stated that through his films and songs, he inspired public awareness and promoted patriotism, while also extending support to various movements and programmes of the organisation.
The outfit also recalled that Oken Amakcham’s younger brother, the late Amakcham Rakhe, had served as an LV of the UNLF.

Describing his death as a great loss to the people of Manipur, the UNLF conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family, friends and associates, and prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul.
