The proscribed United National Liberation Front (UNLF) led by Koireng has denied any association with Khundongbam Motilal alias Khongul, 26, son of Kh. Ingo of Heirok Part-III Lam Mari Phangba Maning, who police claimed was arrested on August 11 by a combined team of Thoubal Police and 46 Assam Rifles from Lamding Khumanthem Leikai.
In a statement, UNLF Secretary of Publicity M. Shak-Hen clarified that Motilal is not associated with either the UNLF or its armed wing, the Manipur People’s Army (MPA).
The clarification came in response to the reported arrest and claims regarding Motilal’s alleged affiliation with the outfit.
