Lack of medicines worries piggery farmers

An unknown disease has been has been spreading at border town Moreh killing numbers of pigs in the area in the last 4/5 days, a report said.
When visited by reporters at the border town yesterday it was found many piggery farming facing hardship after the animals they rear are found sick.
No symptoms of any sickness was shown but the pigs suddenly stopped eating then experience high fever later diarrhea which let them very weak even to stand or walk properly. Some of the pigs had succumbed to the unknown disease, said a piggery farmer in the border town.
“Inability to find proper medicine is also a major problems”, said another piggery farmer. He added that many rear pigs had died due to the unknown disease as they are unable to provide them proper medication even after taking them at the veterinary clinic.
When asked to veterinary officials, they claimed the disease to be swine fever however there are no vaccines available for the treatment they are helpless.
The official further added that as the refrigerator provided to the clinic is out of service from a very long time they could not store require medicines to provide treatment at time of urgency.
The refrigerators have been out of service since the last 4 months, the official said.
People fear the spread of the disease to human as it has been experience some few years back.
Piggery farmers in the border town drew the concern government attention at the earliest possible time.
