University of Bhagavata Culture inaugurated Chief Minister says it will help bringing peace and love among the people of the world.

Chief Minister Okram Ibobi today inaugurated the University of Bhagavata Culture (UBC) at the premises of ISKON Manimandir at Airport road Imphal. The autonomous university is the first of its kind in the whole world which will teach subjects base of spiritual science.
Speaking on the occasion Chief Minister Okram Ibobi said that the university will help the world in uniting and bringing peace and tranquility among the people of the world. He was referring to the kind of teaching that will be provided in the university.   He also said that the university will help in popularizing our culture to the people of the world who came to study in the university. It will also help in spreading the spiritual beauty of the Manipur Culture to whoever comes to study in the university. Ibobi further said that India is secular country which allows anybody to follow any religion of their choice. He said religions are there to bring love among the people of the world. The chief Minister also credited Swami Damodar to the success for establishment of the University.
Commerce and Industries Minister Govindas Konthoujam who also attended the inaugural functions said that the inauguration of the University will remain as an occasion of pride to the people of the land. He said the opening of the university has opened a new dimension of education to the society.
Earlier, the Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh and his wife O Landhoni Devi who is also an MLA along with other VVIP paid floral tribute to the statue of Swami Damodar.  Parliamentary Secretary, YAS and Tourism, M. Prithiviraj Singh also attended the inaugural function as dignitaries.
