Union Minister of States for External Affairs and Education, Dr RK Ranjan today distributed e-SHRAM cards to 300 beneficiaries of Kshetrigao Assembly Constituency today.
The e-SHRAM cards distributed today were registered online at the spot along with other public welfare beneficiary cards at the function organised by Kongba Laishram Leikai Youth Club of the Kshetrigao Assembly Constituency.
MoS Dr. Ranjan was accompanied by MLA N Indrajit, and N Lokeshor president KLLYC during the public welfare scheme distribution function.
Speaking on the occasion, Union MoS Dr Rk Ranjan expressed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi always aspired to develop the North Eastern State.
He further expressed that the e-SHRAM scheme that covers almost all unorganised workers like construction workers, migrant workers, domestic workers, street vendors, truck drivers, fishermen, agricultural.
RK Ranjan further said that all the unorganised workers registered under the scheme will be given accidental insurance coverage under Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY). The workers will be paid Rs two lakh for accidental death and permanent disability and Rs one lakh for partial disability, he added.
N Indrajit MLA of Kshetrigao assembly constituency expressed that e-SHRAM is targeting 60 lakh now it reached 8 lakh. He drew the attention of Union Minister of States External Affairs and Education Dr Rk Ranjan to install solar lamps from the MP side and other development of the Kshetrigao AC.
Besides the 300 e-SHRAM cards, distributed today PMJAY card and LPG under Ujjwala scheme were also distributed to the beneficiaries of Kshetrigao Assembly constituency.
