Union Minister Krishan Pal Gurjar reviews various developmental schemes in Chandel district

Chandel, June 8:

Union Minister of state for Power & Heavy Industries, Govt. of India, Krishnan Pal Gurjar today had a review meeting of various developmental projects/schemes, under the government of India, which are being implemented in Chandel district at the conference Hall, DC Office Chandel.

Speaking on the occasion the Union Minister said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, with the objective of bringing development in under developed areas of the country, the central government had indentified around 144 most under developed district in the country and of which Chandel is one of them. In all of these districts special emphasis are being given for the proper implementation of all the developmental projects and schemes in all the sectors like , Health, Education, Sports, Infrastructure, Electricity, Drinking water etc. so that these areas are at par with the other developed district. He expressed his happiness that the District administration Chandel had done a good job and is working towards achieving the targets set by the central Government. He said that lot more is left to be done in the district and the central government is ready to provide all the necessary resources for it.

During the meeting the Minister inquired about the status of the implementation of various schemes like Ayushman Bharat-PMJAY, availability of medicines etc. He emphasised the need of skill development for the youths. He also asked for five most important issues which need to be taken care of.

Today’s meeting started with a PowerPoint presentation by the Deputy Commissioner, Chandel , Rajkumar Mayangalmbam regarding the ongoing projects in the district. Different District Level Officers also interacted with the Minister during the meeting. As part of his visit, the Minister also interacted with different SHGs of the District.

Today’s meeting was attended the SP Chandel,  Mahesh Naraian, ADC, Chandel, Md.FirojKhan, SDOs, DLOs and other officials of the district.
