Imphal, Dec 15: Condemning the on-going economic blockade which is already more than a month as a direct challenge to the rights of the people of Manipur State and also crime against humanity, Muslim Council Manipur (MCM) blames United Naga Council (UNC) for the recent attacked on loaded trucks near Nony using guns and stones where a driver and handyman suffered injuries.
In a press statement, MA Malik, Working President of MCM states that Central and Manipur Government must not remain silent while UNC and its support members have been taking the law in their hands and conducting many unlawful activities against the people of Manipur State including disturbance at both national highways where many goods have been drag down and destroyed till date.
MA MAlik also states that why Manipur Government have fail to declare the leaders of UNC as wanted while Khomdram Ratan was declared wanted in demands for the implementation of Inner line Permit System in the State which was for the future for the people of the state. UNC must be declare unlawful group and wanted for taking the laws in their hands and creating communal issues to destroy Manipur into pieces, he added.
The Working President further states that Manipur was as princely state where non sees no difference among each other but as one community but now each one is fighting for their own community which is the divide and rule policy of the Central government.
In order to bring an end to the on-going economic blockade, Chief Minister of Manipur must assure to Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh that Sadar Hills will not be declare as full fledged district, he added.
