TYCM urges government to introduce online recruitment system

The Tribal Youth Council Manipur (TYCM) has urged the Government of Manipur to introduce online application and submission systems for all government recruitments, citing the prevailing unrest and transportation difficulties in the hill districts.
In a representation submitted to the Chief Secretary and the Secretary of the Manipur Legislative Assembly on May 29, TYCM demanded online availability and submission of application forms for recruitments under government departments, PSUs, and statutory bodies. The council also sought online entry facilities for Employment Sponsoring Numbers and a minimum of 30 days for submission of forms.
TYCM stated that the volatile situation in the hill districts and disruption of vehicular transportation have created serious difficulties for job-seeking youths in obtaining and submitting forms on time.
The council alleged that offline recruitment processes are causing long queues, unnecessary expenditure, and wastage of time for applicants. It also raised concern over delays in obtaining Income, Caste, Residential, and Domicile Certificates, stating that the existing procedures involve excessive documentation and prolonged approval processes.
Maintaining that Aadhaar data is already digitally available, TYCM urged the government to simplify documentation procedures and adopt modern online systems for recruitment and related services.
The council said the appeal was made on behalf of the tribal communities of Manipur to ensure easier and more accessible recruitment processes for youths across the state.
