Two young agri-entrepreneurs from Manipur – Geetashori Yumnam and Dr. Asem Sundari Devi have been conferred Vasundhara NE Women Entrepreneur of the Year for Manipur for the year 2016-17.
They run an organic input manufacturing company – Green Biotech Ecosolutions Private Limited at Lamsang Laingamkhul in Imphal West. The company manufactures and manages marketing of bio-fertilizers and bio-pesticides. The company also produces mushroom spawns and provides soil testing facility, free consultation on organic farming to farmers visiting at different parts of the state. The award was distributed on Thursday last at PHD Chamber, New Delhi.
