Imphal, Nov 23: Unidentified armed persons kidnapped two labourers from Saikul area late yesterday evening. A report reaching here said that unidentified armed persons called out the two labour from their makeshift camp at Saikul and took away with them. The labourers were engaged in black topping and retaining wall construction works being carried out by one contractor identified as Shyam Meitei.
The two kidnapped labourers are identified as Akhom Surjit , son of A Chandra and Kabarabam Yaima, son of K Ibohal. Both are residents of Lillong Arrapti Mayai Leikai.
Unconfirmed source reveals that KCP Poirei Meitei Lup might have been responsible for the kidnapping.
