A two days training cum Input injection programme on Cultivation of Sweet/Baby corn in Maize based Cropping System to insure 300% cropping intensity sponsored under Maize collaborative Project: ICAR-Indian Institute of Maize Research, PAU Campus Ludhiana Punjab organized jointly by Krishi Vigyan Kendra Chandel and ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region Manipur Centre Lamphelpat Imphal has been started today at 10:00 a.m at Conference Hall, Krishi Vigyan Kendra Chandel. The function was grace by Shri. Ruwndar David Boyes, International Humanitarian and Development-Freelane Consultant and currently involve in Farming and Coffee plantation. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest addressed the participants to put in their best efforts in farming activities. He also said that interest is the main ingredient for success as a farmer.
Dr. Kl. Levish (Agronomy) KVK Chandel spoke on the importance and its Scientific Techniques of growing Sweet/Baby corn. The programme was attended by Scientist of KVK Chandel. 30 participants from different surrounding villages of Chandel District have attended the training programme. Inputs like Hybrid Sweet Corn, Mustard, Pea were also distributed to the participants.
