Two days district level legal awareness program of Development Centre of Manipur (DCOM) under National Commission for Women was organised today at the conference hall of Kristina Hotel, Pologround Road.Sarojini Laishram, General Secretary, DCOM said in her keynote address that the parents are responsible in upbringing their children to respectful children. She added that the increase in cyber crime and other crimes against girls are responsible by their parents if they had warned their girls to adhere the etiquette of wearing dress properly would have prevented from any crimes. There are more crimes happening in the state and hence it is important that the parents should discuss about the issue, said Sarojini.I. Ibetombi Devi, Chairman, Manipur State Women Commision, P. Biren Singh, Vice Chairman, DCOM, S. Dillip Singh, Professor, Law College and M. Nirmala, Social Worker attended the function as Chief Guest, President and Guests of Honour respectively.
