Security forces today recovered an IED and Chinese hand grenade from different places.
Sources said that a foot patrol party of 2 JK Light Infantry recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) weighing 1 kg from the roadside near Kangbai area under Kwakta Police Station of Bishnupur District, along Tiddim Road at around 5.30 am.
In another incident, a Chinese hand grenade was recovered from the residence of Khaijam Bala Devi (38), w/o Kh Tanhai Wangoi Municipal Council by a team of Wangoi Police at around 6.45 am.
Sources said that she is facing monetary demand of Rs. 2 lakh from the proscribed UNLF.
Meanwhile, another IED was blasted today morning at around 6.00 am near TCP gate 27 Sector under Churachandpur Police Station. No human casualty was however reported in the blast.
