Turnover in People’s Day doubled; DCs should make all central schemes reach out to the people – CM

Imphal June 15: Chief Minister N.Biren Singh initiative to directly contact with the citizens of Manipur has successfully clean the tears of many frustrated mothers and youths who visited him today.
This is the 2nd time that the Chief Minister is organising ‘MEEYAMGI NUMIT’ or Peoples’ Day to directly communicate    with the citizen of the State. The first was on May 15 visitor on the 2nd Peoples’ Day held today is nearly double from the first one. Taking a break for media persons during the meeting for about one minutes, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh said that many citizen of the state who are living below poverty line had been deprived of their rights from the various government schemes.
“All concerns District Administrators should make sure that central government schemes for the people should reach them without any delay” CM said.
A lady from Ningthoukhong in Bishnupur district who met the Chief Minister today said she is not in position to continue her son’s education. Without questioning much, the Chief Minister handed over a written letter addressing the DC of Bishnupur to look into the matter and provide be any possible scheme so that her son continues his study.
