Thangmeiband United Club has resolved to implement Inner Line Permit System at the areas under Thangmeiband Assembly Constituency with effect from September 1 this year if the state government failed to introduce ILPS Bill in the state Assembly Session within August 31.
Locals and volunteers of the club stage a sit-in-protest and form human chain today.
While it also resolved to continue its protest demonstrations till the implementation of a permit system for the protection of indigenous people in Manipur in a meeting on Thursday.
