Tributes paid to Martyrs on Khongjom Tarpan Day

Khongjom War Memorial Trust has organized 22nd Khongjom Tarpan Day at Khongjom War Memorial Complex, Kheba Ching today.
During the function, the Titular king of Manipur, Leisemba Sanajaoba said, the Meitei is still standing together as one but the other communities seem to alienate themselves from staying together and oneness.
While expressing disappointment over the arising factionalism among the ethnic groups, the Titular King also said people of the state should ensure that the interest of respective communities and whole of the state is intake.
Trust President, Ex-Minister Moirangthem Hemanta said that the trust has been organizing Khongjom Tarpan since 1994 in order to regain the lost sovereignty of Manipur and bring peace in the society.
Cultural troupes from different parts of the state also present tribute songs in remembrance of the martyrs.
Former Minister, Vivek Raj Wangkhem; Trust Secretary, IB Khumancha and Trust Advisor, Shamurailatpam Nabachandra (Nabavolcano) and many students and peoples of Manipur attended the function.
