Various tribal students’ bodies today strongly reacted to the decision announced by the new Vice Chancellor in Charge of Manipur University for starting admission from Monday.

Terming Professor Amar Yumnam, the new VC in charge as inefficient who lack academic qualification, Joshep Hamr said that any tribal students who admitted and went to the University against the tribal students’ body should face the music by themselves.
The tribal Students’ bodies leaders also demanded immediate resignation of Prof. Amar Yumnam from the post of VC.
Joseph Hmar further said that the University cannot be controlled by immoral individuals and said that until the demand of the Tribal students are fulfilled there will be no going back. The protest will intensify if failed to listen the demand of the tribal students by revoking the decision of the August 8 Academic Council meeting resolution.
The reservation policy for the Manipur University should be the amended Act and not the original one.
