Transporters’ JAC rounded up vehicles

Imphal, May 10: Members of JAC formed by various transporters’ bodies against the onetime tax imposed by government has rounded up two persons who have violated the ongoing steering down strike by providing service along NH 02.
According to JAC members, the duo charged Rs 150 from each passenger as fare for their service from Wangjing to Imphal.
After getting information about the violation of the JAC strike, a drive was conducted and a Maruti Omni van vehicle bearing registration number MN-04A 6410 was intercepted at Kongba.
“10 other vehicles were also detained at Ola Lampak, Kongba for violation of the transporters’ strike”, said a member of the JAC.
The JAC later allowed to go 9 (nine) vehicles while the Omni Van was detained till the filing of this report.
