Imphal, Nov 10: A beauty contest exclusively for transgender community was held today at the auditorium of Tribal Research Institute (TRI) , Chingmeirong here in Imphal. The contest organized by an organization called Sana Ebemma is titled Miss Manipur Queen, 2016.
Mentioned may be made that transgender community which was once an obscured gender has been given recognition as third gender by the Supreme Court of India. The community now is seen freely organizing event crossing beyond the stigma and discrimination faced by them in the early days.
