Training programme on Groundnut cultivation concludes 

A two-day training programme on the theme “Scientific Cultivation of Groundnut” concluded today at Keirak in Kakching district. The programme was organised by the All India Coordinated Research Project on Groundnut under the Central Agricultural University (CAU), Iroisemba, with support from ICAR–Indian Institute of Groundnut Research, Junagadh.
On the first day, Dr. Kh. Pramesh, Senior Scientist of AICRP on Groundnut, highlighted the potential of groundnut cultivation in enhancing farmers’ income.
The second day featured a session led by Laishangbam Jamini, Senior Technical Officer of All India Coordinated Research Project on Groundnut, who spoke on value-added products of groundnut. She also conducted practical demonstrations on preparing a variety of items from groundnut.
The training programme was attended by around 100 women from different Village Level Federation of Keirak Gram Panchayat.
