Training programme on drug abuse held

Imphal, July19: A 4days district level training program on imparting education on drug abuse, women & child trafficking and its related crime was inaugurated today at Kshetri Shanglen Thoubal by MLA Y.Surchandra Singh. The program was organized by All Manipur Anti Drug Association (AMADA) in collaboration with Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Government of Manipur. MLA Okram Landhoni Devi and Dr.Ch.Jamini Devi, former chairperson, Manipur State Commission for Women were also attended the function as president and guest of honour respectively.Speaking on the occasion chief guest of the programme MLA Y.Surchandra cited the example of how Japan became a developed country by the work culture of the people of the country. He said youth of the present day should not waste time by using intoxicants and instead should work together for a prosperous nation.
