The first phase of training for polling personnel in preparation for the General Election to Lok Sabha, 2024 has commenced in Bishnupur and Jiribam districts. The training in Jiribam was conducted across four batches under the supervision of District Election Officer/Deputy Commissioner, Jiribam Krishna Kumar, IAS. In Bishnupur, the training sessions took place at three different halls in C.I College.
In Jiribam, a total of 154 polling personnel underwent training facilitated by officials from the District Election Office. Meanwhile, in Bishnupur, the training program saw the participation of 239 presiding officers and polling officers.
The primary focus of the training sessions was to familiarize the personnel with the roles and responsibilities of a Presiding Officer. District Election Officer Krishna Kumar provided detailed guidance throughout the training, ensuring that participants were well-prepared for their duties.
These training sessions mark the initial steps in ensuring the smooth conduct of the General Election, aiming to equip polling personnel with the necessary skills and knowledge to fulfill their roles effectively.
