Traffic police intensifies drive against rule violators

Traffic police has once more intensified drive against traffic defaulter at Nagamapal area today. Traffic regulations which has been relaxed unofficially for some times to vehicle users have been again enforced and all two wheeler riders without helmet and license as well as other related documents have been fined as penalty. Those in four wheeler vehicle were also checked and fine if violated traffic regulations.

Source said the drive is being resumed in an intensified manner following the death of three people in different road accident in the last 24 hours.

During today’s drive at Nagamapal area around 200-300 vehicles had been fined for not following  Traffic rules. A sum of Rs15,000/- (approx) has been collected as fine .

Speaking to media persons, additional S.P traffic Devananda said  that people are not taking seriously in following the traffic regulation for reason best known to them. These has cause many inconveniences to the people both to those riding two wheeler or four wheeler vehicles  and also to those walking. 

He appealed people to follow the traffic rules to avoid from road accident.
