The Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) is set to organize a one-day Consultative Meeting on Delimitation, Budget Bifurcation, and the Sixth Schedule on October 17, 2025, at the TNL Office-cum-Multipurpose Co`mplex Hall, Wino Tang, Ukhrul. The meeting will commence at 9:00 a.m. and is expected to bring together community leaders, legal experts, Intellectuals and social activists to deliberate on key constitutional and administrative issues concerning the hill districts of Manipur.
The consultative program will feature Advocate and Legal Consultant Or. Worso Zimik , of Zimik Associates, New Delhi, and TNL President Qr. Sword Vashum as the main resource persons. Discussions will revolve around the political and developmental implications of delimitation, equitable budget bifurcation, and the demand for the inclusion of Manipur’s hill areas under the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution.
The meeting will be moderated by social activist Ls. Yuimi Vashum, with Or. Thanreingam Mulvah, Additional Secretary of TNL, serving as recording secretary. The program will begin with an opening prayer by Kashung Tennyson, President of Tangkhul Naga Awunga Long, followed by a keynote address from TNL President Qr. Sword Vashum.
The event aims to promote informed dialogue and collective understanding on issues vital to the rights and representation of the hill communities.
