The Tamenglong and Noney District Catholic Youth Organisation’s 3rd Conference, which is currently underway, is bringing together thousands of young Catholics from across the two districts. The conference, which kicked off on January 18, is being held at Luangchum (Awangkhul) Village in Noney District and will conclude on January 21.
The conference is organized by Tamenglong and Noney District Catholic Youth Organisations (TNDCYO) under the theme “ROOTED IN CULTURE, ALIVE IN CHRIST” and hosted by Assumption Parish Centre Church Luangchum. The conference aims to provide a platform for young Catholics to deepen their faith, develop leadership skills, and engage with their communities.
The conference has attracted a lineup of speakers and facilitators, who are sharing their expertise on topics such as faith, leadership, and social responsibility. Participants are being inspired and challenged to become active agents of positive change in their communities.
His Grace Most Rev. Dr.Linus Neli DD, Archbishop of Imphal attended as a functional president in the presence of TNDCYO leaders and executives. Many Catholics religious leaders from across the two district and abroad also attended and witnessed the conference. Felicitating dignitaries, priests, religious and catholic officers of Tamenglong and Noney District, Special prayers for Priests, Religious, Officers and Youth, Sharing of Gospel, Showcasing Traditional Drumming, Cultural dance, Pazeimei and several musical performance were the main highlight of the conference.
The conference witnessed participation from young Catholics, who are eager to learn, share, and grow together. The event has provided a unique opportunity for participants to connect with one another, promote new friendships, and strengthen their bond with the Catholic community.
