TMNL warns if ADC election is not held at the earliest

By Special Correspondent
Ukhrul, Mar.4:

Terming the delaying tactics of ADC election in the Hills even after the lapses of over three years by the current BJP-led government in the state the Tangkhul Mayar Ngala Long( TMNL / Tangkhul youth council) the apex body of Tangkhul Naga youths has strongly resented the lackadaisical attitudes of government.
In a press conference held at its office in Viewland tang on Sunday Eno. Themaso Tallanao, president of TMNL asked Why ADC election was not held in accordance with the scheduled time, the delay tactics of the state government for conducting elections for the past three years are very unfortunate .
The state government should expedite the ADC election at the earliest for the interest of the hill people without delay and without any conditions of delimitation, ‘ Where are the melodies saying ‘ Chingtam Amatani’ Tallanao said.
TMNL also appeals to all the Hill Area Committee (HAC ) members to take prompt necessary initiative as they too are the people’s representatives they too need to feel the pulse of the people’s cry to hold the election at the earliest or else they may face the wrath of its people in the coming days, Themaso adds.
In the recent past made by CM N.Biren Singh on the floor of the State Assembly on 1st March last regarding the conduct of ADC election to be held only after the delimitation is over is misleading to the August House, How long does a delimitation can take, is three years not enough for district delimitation, this is a farce and clearly a matter of filthy politicking playing with the development of of the Hills people which cannot be taken lightly from now on, Tallanao alleged.
TMNL further appeals to the government to take this matter seriously failing to consider this earnest appeal made by the youth council may compare the TMNL to taking up a series of democratic forms of agitation he warns.
