While stating that the “Khurai Ahongpung” ritual place for the Meitei having associated with the people of the years since time immemorial, titular king of Manipur Leishemba Sanajaoba today drew the attention of the government for preservation of the ritual place.
In a press statement Leshemba said that the ritual place Khurai Ahongpung, Kongba Souton , Tera Wangthonbi and Kakwa Lamtaipung have been closely associated with the ritual affairs of the Sanakonung since time immemorial.
The condition of the Khurai Ahongpung has been addressed to the concern government from time to time but nothing concrete steps for preservation of the historic site has never been taken care.
Leishemba drew the attention of the present government to take up immediate measure for preservation of the Khurai Ahong Pung Ritual place.
