Three minor abandoned at Hatta Golapati; CWC I/E contact family but no response

Imphal, Sept 9:

Three minors of separate parents below the age of 5 were found abandoned at Hatta Golapati on Tuesday morning by a team of Child Welfare Committee, Imphal East (CWC).
According to the CWC, the three minors were provided shelter by the local club of hatta Golopatti and later handed over to Childline. The three minors were jointly produced before the Child Welfare Committee, Imphal East. along with the District Child Protection Unit, Imphal East, and placed at Specialised Adoption Agency (SAA) Imphal East (Wangkhei Ningthem Pukhri Mapal, Lane No. 5 B).
The older two boys mentioned that their parents, were separated and their origin was from Yairipok Changngamdabi, Mathak Leikai, Imphal East.
The CWC contacted the local club and the family however none of them comes forward to claim the said children. The CWC later informed the police and after formalities, they were kept secure at home.
A statement by the CWC IE said that any person/persons who can identify their true relationship with the said children can make their claim of the said children from the office of the Child Welfare Committee Imphal East located at Kongba Kshetri Leikai, Imphal East, or from the office of the Specialised Adoption Agency (SAA JE) located at Wangkhei Ningthem Pukhri Mahal (South), Lane No. 5(B), by providing relevant documents of proof to support their identity and their exact relationship with the three children within a period 2 months for Danish and 4 months for Habib and Nawaz from the date of issue of this press release. Failure to do so, they said children will be declared Legally free for Adoption and hence processed accordingly as per the provisions of the Adoption Regulations Act, 2017.
