Security forces on Saturday arrested three cadres of armed group KNF (Democratic) during a joint operation of 2 Assam Rifles and Imphal East Police Commando at Kekru Villa near AR transit camp.
According to a report from Police, the KNF (D) cadres were allegedly involved in the killing of two cadres of KNF.
They have been identified as Letkhohao Kipgen (36) alias Haopu, s/o (L) Khupu Kipgen of Bongbal Khullen under Yairipok Police station, Senapati district; Kamminlan Haokip (25) alias Boipu, s/o Thangkholet Haokip of Ngahmunnom CC Pur and Thangkhomang Haokip, s/o Khaisei Haokip of Bongbal Khullen.
Two A1 rifles, two magazines, one Nokia handset and various SIM cards were recovered from them. They have been handed over to Imphal Police station.
