Thoubal, April 12:
Deputy Commissioner of Thoubal, Ahanthem Subhash, IAS, conducted a comprehensive inspection of various development works being implemented across the district. Accompanied by officials from multiple departments, the DC visited several locations to monitor the progress and execution of ongoing projects.
The inspection covered important sites in Thoubal, Lilong, and Khangabok constituencies. Projects undertaken by the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (RD & PR) under the MGNREGA scheme, Planning Department initiatives, MLA Local Area Development (MLA LAD) works under DRDA, Jal Jeevan Mission works by PHED, and road and bridge construction projects under PWD were reviewed during the visit.
DC Subhash stated that over 20 project sites were inspected during the visit. He instructed all concerned departments and executing agencies to upload detailed progress reports of the works on the district’s official website. Emphasis was laid on the timely completion of all pending works to ensure tangible benefits reach the public.
The DC also urged citizens to report any stalled or abandoned development works directly to his office. He assured that strict action would be initiated against any negligence or delay, adding that public complaints will be taken seriously and addressed with prompt measures.
The inspection is part of the administration’s effort to ensure transparency, accountability, and effective implementation of development projects across the district.
