Thongju Clubs to impose restrictions on the accommodation of non-locals

A joint meeting of clubs located in Thongju Part I and II today decided to impose restrictions on non-local entry in Thongju Part I and II area if they do not have a valid identification document.A press release signed by Sapam Sarat, Secretary of Thongju Chigonglei Makhong Development Club said that the meeting which was held today morning was attended by the representatives of 15 Clubs located at Thongju Part I and II area.The press release said that the decision of the clubs is taken in order to expedite the movement in the state in demand of Inner Line Permit System in the state. The meeting also strongly condemned the insubstantial response of the state government, national parties and regional party against the demands of the people of the state.In order to enforce the decision into work a forum called ‘forum for demand of Inner Line Permit System in Manipur and relative activities’ was also formed.K. B Sharma, Thongam Lalmani and Sapam Sarat have been nominated as president, vice president and convener respectively.
