There must be another reason for Biren Singh’s resignation – L Susindro

Imphal, Feb 15:

CAF & PD Minister Leishangthem Susindro Meitei has termed the common belief that the government collapsed due to a power struggle among legislators as unfortunate.
Speaking to mediapersons, Susindro said, “Peace in the state has often been disrupted by unknown elements through gun and bomb attacks. We believe the recent developments were pre-planned. Former CM N Biren Singh wanted peace, and I feel he stepped down to facilitate it.”
He added that it remains uncertain whether the government will return, as the leader has already taken its decision. “Every legislator is qualified to be chief minister, but the position is limited to one. Instead of focusing on that, sacrifice is needed,” he stated.
Susindro also suggested that Biren Singh’s resignation might have been aimed at restoring normalcy. “It is possible he believed this move would help bring peace. However, the notion that the government collapsed due to a power struggle among legislators is unfortunate. And there must be a different reason for N Biren Singh to tender his resignation” he remarked.
