CM N Biren Singh has clarified on the speculation around Prime Minister’s potential visit to Manipur saying that there is no question of him coming or not and his coming here will depend on the situation.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh, speaking to the media regarding the recently concluded Extended Executive meeting of the BJP at Thambal Sanglen, the headquarters of the Manipur BJP party, elaborated on the agendas of the meeting. CM N Biren Singh stated that they welcomed the Prime Minister for his third term.
He stated that the leadership of both the Prime Minister and Home Minister has been curcial in managing the situation in Manipur.”We are in touch with the PM around the clock,” Biren Singh stated.
He further assured that “peace is being maintained, even in areas like Jiribam, and that reconciliation efforts between communities are ongoing. Security and relief measures are all being carried out under the leadership of Manipur.”
Regarding the potential visit of the Prime Minister to Manipur, CM Biren Singh clarified, “There is no question of whether the Prime Minister will come here or not…The coming of the PM depends on the situation.” He said that this matter might have been discussed at the central level but reaffirmed that the state is handling the issues under the PM’s leadership.
CM N Biren Singh also informed the media that the extended execuitive meeting addressed various issues plaguing the state, including the devastating floods and the plight of people in relief camps.
