Oinam Romen Singh, PCC Member of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) said that the future of Manipur is in the hands of the youths. This was stated by him while participating in an Induction Programme of the youths of Singjamei Assembly Constituency organised by Singjamei Youth Congress Committee (SYCC) held at his residence, Singjamei Oinam Thingel, Imphal West District yesterday afternoon. He said that youths are the pillars of the Nation. Organising such an Induction Programme of youths in order to foster a sense of belonging is very much needed. It can make productivity faster due to better understanding of their roles and make development of the State and the Nation as well.
Romen Singh said that the youths of Manipur should not become job seekers but should be job providers. They should be acting as bridges connecting the past and the future. Youths are the driving force of changing a society bringing perspectives, energy and innovative ideas. Their active participation is crucial for progress in different fields including social, economic and political development of the State and the Country.
The youths should participate in the decision making process to ensure the future and initiatives are aligned with their needs and aspirations. They should participate in the democratic process so that they can elect true and accountable leaders so as to serve the State and the Nation in a true spirit. They can promote positive changes of the society through their actions and choices.
During the Induction Programme, Certificates of PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijly Yojana, the scheme for providing free energy to household, have been distributed to the youths who had participated in the Orientation Training Programme initiated by Oinam Romen Singh held at Canchipur some months back.
Ashangbam Sahadev Singh, Sarungbam Nabakumar Singh, Kakchingtabam Rajen Sharma, Ningthiujam Popilal Singh and among others attended the function.
