Tension erupts at Sekmaijing after a teacher allegedly rape a school girl

Tension arose today at Sekmaijing Hangun Awang Leikai over an alleged rape of an 11 years old girl by a school teacher. Angered families and relatives of the victim stormed in to destroy the school demanding to produce the culprit. Mayang Imphal Police who arrived at the spot controlled the mob.An 11 years old student studying in the 2nd std of Merciful English School at Sekmaijing Hangun Awang Leikai, Itika Road was allegedly raped by the school teacher who has been identified as Arambam Robindro (40) from Bishempur near CI College on October 26 last Sunday.Speaking to media person at RIMS Forensic Science Department, the victim’s grandfather, Md. Nijamudin said that the victim girl has been staying in the school boarding for more than a year. According to him the victim girl was called to the room of Robindro on the evening of October 26 on the pretext of receiving a call from her home. The accused allegedly raped her on that evening and threatened to kill her if she tells about the incident to anybody.The girl, however managed to make a call to get sports uniform in an early morning of October 28 and she told her mother about the incident.The family of the victim girl took her out from the hostel and reported the matter to Mayang Imphal Police station on the same evening. Enraged by the news large number of people throng at the School premises today morning and vandalized the hostel demanding the alleged rapist. The mob was however put under control by a team of police which arrived at the spot.The alleged rapist Robindro was later arrested by the police today afternoon.

In this present situation its type of incident can be cause of communal riots between two community so state police should understand situation of state n action take accordingly
