Temporary Corona Market Dethroned by Police

The temporary market at Ngaikhong Khunou KOMJAO LAIREMBI ground commonly known as CORONA MARKET in Bishnupur District was dethroned by a team of Bishnupur Police yesterday evening at around 3:30 pm. As per source from a locality, a team of police frequently disturbed the women folks selling local vegetables items at this temporary market as nearby main markets at Bishnupur and Nambol were closed for long time due to COVID pandemic. As reported by a woman named SANATOMBI Devi, who happened to be the Meira Paibi Secretary of Ngaikhong Khunou,police often snatched away the manual weighing machine of the women vegetable seller. But yesterday, a team of police came all of a sudden and scattered the vegetable items damaging vegetables extensively on the pretext that they came with the order of SP, Bishnupur, mentioning that due to this temporary market accident occurred all along the Tiddim Road. However, local womenfolk claim that they started running this temporary market by erecting Katcha thatched structure as consented by the local MLA, Laishram Radhakishwor Singh of Oinam Assembly Constituency. The womenfolk even claimed that police threaten to dismantle the temporary Katcha thatched structures.
