Imphal, May 11:In an unfortunate incident, a 14-year old girl who going for tuition class on a scooter was killed when a truck rammed into her vehicle at Yairipok Khoirom. Sources identified her as SM Rukaiya, daughter of Abdul Barik of Phouden Moirangpalli, a class X student of Antarctic English School. She died at the spot. The body has been kept at Yairipok CHC. The driver of the truck reportedly surrendered to a nearby police station. Meanwhile, security around the police station was beef up in anticipation of trouble as many people have gathered there and demanding the handing over of the errant driver.
