BJP National General Secretary Tapir Gao today blamed the Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh for the delay in introducing the Inner Line Permit System in the state. Speaking during a reception ceremony of the newly enrolled member of the party at Keishampat Nityapat Chuthek, tapir Gao said that Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh has been silence for over 10 years to the issue of ILP and now after the people upraise he point finger to the NDA government at the center. He said until the state government initiated a law regarding the matter the centre is helpless.On the issue of the UNC blockade along the National High Way, Tapi Gao said that he will visit senapati tomorrow to take stock of the situation there. He said he will talk with leaders of the Naga Civil Society to bring an amicable solution to the crisis.Today’s function was held to give a warm welcome to former MLA of Wangoi assembly constituency Salam Joy Singh, former candidate of Kshetrigao Assembly Constituency AR Khan , ADC members and Imphal Municipal council councillor, who have joined the BJP.Besides, BJP National general secretary Tapir Gao who is the in charge of the Manipur and Nagaland, Manipur pradesh BJP president Th Chaoba and other state unit leaders attended the function.Other personalities who joined the BJP in the day’s function include, ADC Members M Daniel of Dollang seat and Haokholal Singson of Longpi both from Tamenglong district and IMC councilor H Santosh from Uripok ward number 4.
