Thangmeiband Kendra Development Organisation (TAKDO) today blocked various roads of Thangmeiband area in protest against the main holes on the roads causing disturbances to the locals.
Speaking to media persons, Konsam Surjit, Publicity Secretary, TAKDO said that the roads under Thangmeiband constituency namely Hijam Dewan Leikai, Polem Leikai, Meisnam Leikai, Watham Leirak, Sinam Leikai, Kabrabam Leikai, Yumnam Leikai, Lairenhanjaba Leikai, Muchi Leirak and Khanjam Leirak are in deplorable condition which have not been fixed for many years. But from the last two months commuters are facing difficulties because of the main holes dug up on these roads by the Sewage project. He also said that if the roads are not fixed before 10th Feb, TAKDO will take up various agitations.
