Under the ongoing “Swachhta Hi Sewa” campaign, Thoubal Municipal Council and Shikhong Sekmal Municipal Council have been organising various cleanliness activities in the district. Today the Thoubal Municipal Council organised door to door campaign and cleaning of Highways.
Sikhong Sekmai Municipal Council also organised a tree plantation drive and cleanliness activity today along the roadside of Sikhong-Pechi road. As part of the campaign, the council will also organise a health check-up camp for the sanitary workers and staff at Nongpok Sekmai PHCPHC on 25th September 2023.
It may be mentioned that the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ movement is gaining steady momentum in the district with line departments also taking part in the campaign.
The fortnightly programme which is being observed from 17th September will be held till 2nd October 2023 in the district.
