In a landmark judgement, a single bench of High Court of Manipur comprising of Justice Kh Nobin Singh on April 10 directed Director of Health Services to pay a sum of Rs 33, 725 with 8 percent interest per annum from January 2015 within three months regarding non-payment in lieu of unutilised earned leave of Dr Th Suresh Singh while the latter was working as Director of Health Services. This was conveyed by the ex-Director in a press release. The writ petition was initiated by Dr Th Suresh after non-compliance of repeated written request to the Health Director Dr O Ibomcha (now suspended) by him in respect to AG Authority Slip dated January 28, 2015 to pay the said amount to him. Dr Th Suresh represented the case in person.
